Andrew Wollitzer, Pastor
Andrew first came to Berkeley Covenant in 2002 and has been our Senior Pastor since 2008. He deeply desires that we as the church be a people of authentic and humble faith who desire to truly live out what we proclaim. Andrew's path has been significantly influenced by the early church and Ecumenism, drawing from Eastern Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant sources, in addition to his own Jewish roots; these inform his understanding of what it means to follow the “Apostolic Faith.” He can often be found at local coffee shops and is usually hoping to be engaged in deep, honest conversations. In his free time, Andrew loves spending time with family and friends and being outdoors as much as possible. Among his favorite authors are George Macdonald, N.T. Wright, J.R.R. Tolkien, and the early church Fathers.
Leanne Wydick, Director of Worship & Greenhouse Children's Ministry
Leanne is married to Bruce and has two daughters, Allie and Kayla. Leanne grew up in Healdsburg, CA and received her BA and Bilingual Teaching Credential from CSU Sacramento. In 1999, she moved to Berkeley to start her first teaching job as a 4th-grade teacher in a Spanish/English bilingual program, where she taught for 5 years. She has been an active member of the worship ministry at Berkeley Covenant since 2001 and became the Worship Director of Adults & Children in 2008. Leanne also directs the Greenhouse Ministry to children, youth & families. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, taking pictures, playing sports and taking long walks in the outdoors.
Laurie Fiddes, Bookkeeper/Administrator
Laurie grew up in Berkeley and has attended Berkeley Covenant all her life. She graduated from San Francisco State with a BA in Home Economics/Nutrition. In high school she helped her mom with an after-school kids’ program at the church called, “The Good News Club”. She worked with children in the church and in her sons’ schools for many years, and served as the Children’s Coordinator at Berkeley Covenant Church from 2006-2021. Laurie started bookkeeping for a friend’s business in 1985; when her sons entered high school in 2006, she became the bookkeeper for both the church and Mustard Seed Preschool. Laurie’s sons are now adults, and all have careers of their own; she is especially thankful for a job she enjoys and for a loving church community.
Karen Davidson, Director of Administration
Karen Davidson has been involved with our church since 2002 when she married Philip, a long-time member of Berkeley Covenant Church. In July 2008, she came on staff as the Church Administrator. Working with the pastor and church Board, she is responsible for the financial management of both the church and preschool; human resources and employee benefit program management; governmental tax and insurance compliance; and management of facility capital improvement projects for the church campus, parsonage, and preschool. She is also the church’s liaison to Mustard Seed Preschool, managing the school’s finances, and coordinating staffing, programs, and procedures with the Preschool Director.
